Delivers up to 2.975Gbps Wi-Fi 6 throughput via integrated directional antennas in an IP66/67 outdoor housing
The HPE Aruba AP-577 is a rugged outdoor wireless access point built for focused coverage in enterprise, campus and public-venue deployments. Its integrated directional antenna concentrates signal toward targeted zones such as stadiums, transport hubs or industrial yards. Dual-radio operation on 2.4GHz and 5GHz delivers up to 2.975Gbps aggregate throughput. The unit is designed for IT teams that need reliable outdoor connectivity managed through Aruba Central.
The sealed chassis meets IP66 and IP67 ratings, protecting internal radios from dust, heavy rain and temporary immersion in harsh climates. Power and data arrive over a single 2.5GbE PoE port, eliminating separate power cabling and reducing installation cost. A secondary 1GbE port provides redundancy or local wired access for attached devices. No active cooling is required, so the access point operates silently in exposed locations.
Two RJ-45 ports (2.5GbE PoE and 1GbE) and a USB 2.0 interface give installers multiple backhaul and peripheral options without extra enclosures. The directional antenna pattern reduces co-channel interference, freeing spectrum capacity for nearby sectors. PoE powering simplifies pole or wall mounting where AC power is unavailable. The appliance suits point-to-point and point-to-multipoint links where omnidirectional coverage would waste signal.

Mount the unit with its integrated directional antenna aimed at the coverage zone, connect the 2.5GbE PoE port for both uplink and power, and verify the switch delivers enough PoE budget — the secondary 1GbE port is not PoE-capable.
The IP66/67-rated enclosure seals the integrated antennas and radios; no user-serviceable RF parts exist. Plan firmware updates via Aruba Central and inspect cable glands and PoE injector health periodically.
The 2.975Gbps aggregate throughput ceiling (2.4Gbps on 5GHz plus 575Mbps on 2.4GHz) is reached before thermal throttling, because the IP66/67 housing passively dissipates heat across the rated temperature range.
