HPE Color LaserJet CP-4025N

The HPE Color LaserJet CP-4025N is a network-ready colour laser printer built for office workgroups. It produces both black and colour pages at up to 35 ppm with a 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution. A 600-sheet input capacity supports extended print runs. Gigabit Ethernet connects the unit directly to a wired LAN.

Who this suits

Teams that need fast colour output on a shared wired network will find the 35 ppm speed and Ethernet interface a good fit. The 600-sheet tray reduces reloading during high-volume days. Buyers who want wireless or mobile printing, automatic two-sided printing, or a larger paper supply should look elsewhere.

Deciding specification

The single specification that decides fit is the Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000Base-T) interface. If the environment relies on Wi-Fi, USB direct printing, or a print server, this printer will not connect without extra hardware.

Questions about this item

Does the HPE Color LaserJet CP-4025N include toner cartridges so I can start printing immediately?

The unit ships without toner cartridges. You will need to purchase compatible HP toner separately before the printer can produce any output.

Will the 10Base-T/100Base-TX/1000Base-T Ethernet port work with my older 10/100 network switch?

Yes. The Gigabit Ethernet interface auto-negotiates down to 10 or 100 Mb/s, so it connects to legacy Fast-Ethernet switches without configuration changes.

How can I verify the 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution is active after installing the printer?

Print the built-in configuration page from the control panel; it lists the current print-quality setting and confirms the engine is operating at 1200 x 1200 dpi.
