Entry-level 1U rack server

The HPE ProLiant DL120 G7 is a single-processor 1U rack server built for entry-level infrastructure. It uses an Intel Core i3-2100 dual-core processor running at 3.10 GHz with 3 MB cache on an Intel C200 chipset. The system includes 2 GB of DDR3 memory across four slots and a 250 GB 7200 RPM hard drive on a Serial ATA/300 controller.

Suitable for single-application or edge deployments

This server suits buyers who need a compact rack unit for light workloads such as web serving or edge-of-network tasks. It is not for buyers who need more than one processor installed, more than 16 GB of total memory, or additional drive bays beyond the single 250 GB drive.

16 GB maximum memory ceiling

The platform supports up to 16 GB of DDR3 SDRAM across four slots, so the 2 GB installed is only a starting point. Buyers planning memory-heavy applications must verify that the 16 GB limit meets their requirements before purchasing.
