Purpose and fit

The HPE Aruba X372 delivers 680 W at 54 V DC for compatible Aruba network switches. It suits administrators who need a hot-swappable replacement or a redundant unit in a 100-240 V AC environment.

Build and connections

The module measures 1.6 by 3.3 by 8.9 inches and weighs 1.82 lb, sliding into the switch chassis without tools. Its internal connector mates directly with the switch mid-plane, so no external cables are required and airflow follows the system design.

Practical limits

Output is fixed at 680 W, so the supply cannot support chassis configurations that demand higher wattage. The 54 V DC output suits only equipment designed for that voltage, and the unit provides no auxiliary low-voltage rails for peripherals.

Questions about this item

What AC input range does the 680 W power module accept?

The unit operates on 100-240 V AC, covering both 120 V and 230 V mains without manual switching.

What are the physical dimensions for rack or chassis clearance?

It measures 1.6" high, 3.3" wide and 8.9" deep, weighing 1.82 lb.

How is the module installed in an Aruba switch and what step is often missed?

Slide the hot-plug unit into the power-supply bay until the latch clicks; the step often missed is verifying the latch is fully engaged so the module seats on the internal connector.
