HPE X372 1600W server power supply

The HPE X372 is a new 1600-watt server power supply built for Aruba networking equipment. It accepts a wide 110 to 240 VAC input range and delivers a 54 VDC output for compatible chassis. This unit suits administrators replacing or expanding power capacity in supported HPE switches.

54 VDC output requirement

The power supply provides a fixed 54 VDC output, so it only fits hardware designed for that voltage rail. Buyers whose systems need a different DC voltage cannot use this unit. Verify the chassis specifications before ordering.

Questions about this item

What does the 1600W rating mean once the unit is installed in a server?

The 1600W rating is the maximum continuous DC power the supply can deliver at 54VDC when fed from an AC source between 110 and 240 volts.

What AC input range does the 110-240VAC label cover and what does it cap in practice?

The label covers any single-phase mains voltage from 110 to 240 volts, so the unit auto-ranges worldwide and its practical cap is the 1600W DC output limit.
