Monochrome laser printer for parallel workflows

The HPE LaserJet 4250 produces black-only output at up to 43 ppm with a 1200 x 1200 dpi resolution. It connects through a parallel interface and feeds from a 500-sheet input tray. The unit suits offices that maintain legacy parallel ports and need reliable mono printing.

500-sheet capacity and 43 ppm throughput

A full 500-page tray supports extended print runs without reloading. At 43 ppm the engine keeps pace with typical departmental queues. Very large jobs will eventually require a pause to refill paper, and the single tray offers no second source for alternate media.

Parallel interface limits

The sole parallel connection restricts the printer to systems with a compatible port or an adapter. Maximum throughput is bounded by the parallel bus rather than the engine speed. Buyers who need USB, network or wireless connectivity cannot use this model without additional conversion hardware.

Questions about this item

Will the 4250's parallel port work with my older workstation that only has a parallel interface?

Yes, the printer connects through a parallel port, so it can attach directly to a legacy workstation without an adapter.

How can I verify the 43 ppm black print speed after I set the printer up?

Print a multi-page document and time the output; the rated black speed is up to 43 pages per minute at 1200 x 1200 dpi.

Does the Q5400A ship with toner, or do I need to buy a cartridge separately?

The unit does not come with toner; a compatible cartridge must be purchased separately. Power and network cables are included where applicable.
