The HPE Instant On 1960 delivers 24 Gigabit RJ-45 ports, two 10GBASE-T ports and two SFP+ 10GbE uplinks in a single rack-mountable unit. No PoE support means it suits environments where powered devices are handled separately. Stacking up to four 1960 switches under one IP address scales the network without adding complexity.

Rack-Mount Chassis with High-Speed Uplinks

The metal enclosure measures 44.25 cm wide, 35.05 cm deep and 4.4 cm high, fitting a standard 1U rack space at 3.9 kg. Front-facing ports keep patch cables accessible while the rear power inlet simplifies cabinet wiring. Two dedicated 10GBASE-T copper ports and two SFP+ cages provide flexible 10 Gbps links to servers, storage or core switches without consuming Gigabit access ports. Fan cooling is internal; the operating range covers 0 to 40 °C at altitudes up to 10,000 ft.

Upgrade Path from Unmanaged or 1G-Only Gear
