Expansion module adds a single T1/FT1 WAN port at 1.544 Mbps for ProCurve Secure Router 7000dl series
The HPE J8451A is an expansion module that adds a single T1 or FT1 WAN link to the ProCurve Secure Router 7000dl series. It targets network administrators extending enterprise connectivity over traditional telecom circuits.
The module delivers a maximum data transfer rate of 1.544 Mbps through one RJ-48C WAN port and one RJ-45 port. This bandwidth suits legacy voice and data circuits but does not scale to modern broadband or Ethernet speeds.
The 0.13 lb module installs directly into an available slot on a compatible 7000dl router without powering down the chassis. It consumes minimal space and power while freeing administrators from deploying separate external CSU/DSU hardware.

Yes, the module is listed as compatible with the ProCurve Secure Router 7000dl Series, so it installs directly into an available slot on that chassis.
Check the front-panel LEDs on the module; a solid green status light on the RJ-48C port indicates the T1/FT1 WAN circuit is up and passing traffic.
The module ships with the two onboard ports only; T1 crossover cables for the RJ-48C and standard Ethernet patch cords for the RJ-45 must be purchased separately.
