Outdoor Wi-Fi 6 Access Point

The HPE Aruba AP-574 is a weatherproof Wi-Fi 6 outdoor access point built for high-density environments. It delivers 4x4:4SS MU-MIMO capability and integrated Bluetooth for location services. Aggregate on-air data rates reach 3 Gbps using HE80 and HE40 channels. Industrial surge protection shields every electrical interface.

Suitable Deployments and Limits

This unit suits campuses, stadiums and industrial sites that need reliable outdoor connectivity in extreme temperatures and moisture. Buyers who require indoor-only hardware or lack PoE infrastructure should consider other options. The integrated omni antenna covers wide areas but does not support external directional antennas.

3 Gbps Aggregate Throughput

The decisive specification is the maximum aggregate on-air data rate of 3 Gbps across HE80 and HE40 channels. This figure determines whether the AP meets the capacity needs of dense mobile and IoT environments. Verify that your controller and licensing support the 570 Series before purchase.

Questions about this item

How is the AP-574 mounted and which step is often missed?

The AP-574 mounts on a pole or wall using the included bracket; the step often missed is torquing the N-type RF connectors to the specified value so the weather seal holds.

What maintenance will the AP-574 need over time?

Inspect the radome and gasket annually for UV cracking, verify the surge-protected Ethernet port remains sealed, and clean any salt or dust buildup from the integrated omni antennas.

What limit appears first when the AP-574 runs at full load outdoors?

The 3 Gbps aggregate on-air data rate at HE80/HE40 is the first ceiling; sustained high-density client traffic will hit that throughput bound before thermal limits.
