Stereo USB-C Headset for Hybrid Workers

The Poly Blackwire 8225 is a wired on-ear headset designed for professionals who need clear audio on calls. It connects via USB-C and includes a USB-C to USB-A adapter for broad device compatibility. The 7.10 ft cable provides ample reach at a desk.

Suited for Noise-Heavy Environments

Hybrid active noise cancelling and a noise-cancelling microphone with Acoustic Fence technology reduce background sound for both listener and far-end participants. Buyers who need wireless freedom or a Bluetooth connection should consider other options. The headset requires a wired USB link at all times.

32 Ohm Impedance for Standard USB Power

The 32 Ohm drivers are tuned for direct USB bus power without an external amplifier. This specification determines whether the headset will reach adequate volume from your laptop or dock. The 180° pivoting speakers and adjustment markers help secure a stable fit during long sessions.

Questions about this item

Does the 8225 headset need a USB-C port on my computer, or can I use the included adapter for a USB-A port?

The headset connects by USB-C and the box includes a USB-C-to-USB-A adapter so it works with either port type.

Will the 32 Ohm drivers and hybrid ANC work properly if I keep using an older USB 2.0 hub?

Yes, the headset is wired and draws power over USB, so it functions on legacy USB 2.0 hubs without losing audio quality or noise-cancelling performance.

How can I confirm the Acoustic Fence microphone and ANC are active after I plug the 8225 in?

The inline controls show an LED indicator when ANC is on, and a quick test call will demonstrate that background noise is suppressed while your voice stays clear.
