USB 7.1 SPDIF Sound Card

The HUANGENG external sound card connects over USB to add true 5.1 and 7.1 channel audio to any computer. It targets gamers, streamers and home-theatre enthusiasts who want surround sound without installing an internal card. The aluminium body houses a Silver audio chipset rated at 120 decibels SNR and a 48 KHz sample rate. Plug-and-play operation works across operating systems with no machine-specific requirements.

Build Integration Aluminium USB Audio

A single USB port supplies both power and data, freeing a PCIe slot and avoiding driver hassles. SPDIF optical in and out ports link directly to AV receivers, soundbars or powered speakers for digital 5.1 or 7.1 playback. Analogue jacks remain available for headsets or stereo monitors. The lightweight 0.065 kilogram enclosure adds negligible load to a desk or rack setup.

7.1 Channel Capacity and Limits

The card decodes up to 7.1 channels at 48 KHz, handling film soundtracks, gaming positional audio and multi-track editing sessions. SNR of 120 decibels provides clean headroom for quiet passages. It does not support sample rates above 48 KHz, so high-resolution audio files will be down-sampled. Users needing more than eight discrete channels or higher sample rates must look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the 48 KHz sample rate limit high-resolution audio playback?

The card operates at 48 KHz, so audio above that rate will be resampled to 48 KHz during playback.

Does the aluminium body keep the unit cool and quiet during all-day use?

The aluminium chassis acts as a passive heatsink with no fan, so it runs silently and stays warm but not hot under continuous load.

What speakers or amplifier must I already own to use the 7.1 surround output?

You need a speaker system or AV receiver with an SPDIF optical input to receive the 7.1 digital stream.
