Huawei T628G MAX silver cooling pad

The Huawei T628G MAX is a silver laptop cooling pad built for notebooks from 10 to 17.3 inches. It uses a single enlarged fan with three speed settings and a 360 degree rotating base. The aluminium and steel frame weighs 1.68 kilograms and sits on a 2.2 pound carbon steel base for stability. Buyers who need a cooling solution for devices larger than 17.3 inches should look elsewhere.

Airflow limits of the single fan design

The pad delivers 40 CFM on soft mode, 52 CFM on medium and 85 CFM on strong mode through one fan. That single fan must cover the entire chassis of a 17.3 inch laptop so peak airflow per square centimetre drops as the device size grows. The three fixed speeds cannot be tuned between steps and there is no automatic temperature curve. Users who want per zone cooling or variable RPM control will not find it here.

360 degree rotation as the deciding feature

The stand rotates a full 360 degrees on its weighted base letting you turn the screen toward a colleague without lifting the laptop. That motion is the primary differentiator from fixed angle pads and it dictates the footprint needed on the desk. If screen sharing from a stationary position is not part of your workflow the rotation mechanism adds bulk without benefit.

Questions about this item

Which fan speed should I pick for a 17.3 inch laptop?

The pad has three speeds: 40 CFM on soft, 52 CFM on medium and 85 CFM on strong. Choose the lowest speed that keeps your laptop cool enough.

How much airflow does the 85 CFM setting actually move through a notebook?

85 CFM is the maximum rated airflow of the single large fan; real-world cooling depends on your laptop's vent layout and internal fan curves.

Does the 360 degree rotation base lock in place or spin freely?

The base rotates a full 360 degrees for screen sharing; the 2.2 lb carbon-steel base keeps it stable while you turn it.
