Industrial Three-Phase Plug

The Hubbell HBL8461C is a 60 A 250 V straight-blade plug built for three-phase industrial equipment. It suits installers wiring 10 hp motors or similar loads that require a grounded four-wire connection.

Installation and Common Issues

Screw terminals accept wire within a 0.625 in to 1.31 in cable diameter range. The nylon housing resists corrosion and meets UL 94 HB flammability rating. Miswiring the phase sequence or exceeding the cable clamp range are the typical errors.

NEMA 15-60P Practical Limits

The NEMA 15-60P configuration locks voltage at 250 V AC and current at 60 A for three-phase service. IP20 rating means the plug is protected against solid objects but not against water ingress, so it must stay in dry locations.
