Strain Relief Cord Grip 2 in Trade

This liquid-tight cord connector provides strain relief for cables measuring 1.81 in to 1.94 in diameter. It features a 2 in MNPT box connection with a straight aluminium body and stainless steel mesh grip. The fitting suits industrial or commercial installations requiring secure cable entry.

Mesh Grip and Aluminium Construction

The external stainless steel mesh grip spans 11 1/2 in to distribute pulling force along the cable jacket. An aluminium connector body resists corrosion while the silver finish aids visual inspection. These materials combine to protect the cord from tension and environmental exposure at the entry point.

Verify Cord Diameter and Thread Compatibility

Confirm your cable outer diameter falls within the 1.81 in to 1.94 in range before ordering. Ensure the enclosure provides a matching 2 in MNPT threaded opening for the male connector. The overall length from box face to connector end measures 2 11/16 in for clearance planning.

Questions about this item

Will the stainless-steel mesh strain relief need periodic replacement?

The mesh is stainless steel and built for the life of the connector; no scheduled replacement is required.

What cable diameter range does the 2 in trade size accept before sealing fails?

It seals cables from 1.81 in to 1.94 in; outside that range the liquid-tight seal cannot be maintained.

Does the aluminum body run hot when conduit carries full load all day?

The connector is passive aluminum with no current-carrying parts, so it does not generate heat during continuous operation.
