Mirage Matte Box VND Kit

The Tilta Mirage Matte Box VND Kit is a modular matte box system built for video creators who want a lightweight, adaptable solution. It clamps directly onto cine lenses with 95 mm front diameters and also works with smaller mirrorless or DSLR lenses using the included step-up rings. The kit ships with a variable ND filter that can be adjusted manually or remotely when paired with optional accessories.

Cartridge filter system and adapter rings

A cartridge-style filter design lets you swap 4 x 5.6 inch rectangular filters or the new 95 mm circular filters with a single press, replacing slower screw-on workflows. The circular filters weigh roughly one quarter of traditional 4 x 5.65 glass, keeping the rig light for gimbal or drone work. Included adapter rings cover 67, 72, 77 and 82 mm filter threads, so most common stills lenses can be mounted without extra purchases.

Compatibility checks before ordering

Confirm that your primary lenses have either a 95 mm front barrel or one of the four supported thread sizes so the clamp or rings will fit. Verify whether you need the optional remote-control accessories to drive the variable ND electronically, as manual operation is the default. The system also accepts a range of special-effect circular filters such as star patterns, streak filters and Pro-Mist types, so plan which creative effects you want to use.
