Purpose-built conduit for general-purpose wiring

Hubbell G1150 liquid-tight flexible plastic conduit carries a 1-1/2 inch trade size and a 50-foot nominal length. The grey PVC jacket is rated for indoor and outdoor use and meets NEC and UL approval requirements. Installers gain a non-metallic raceway suitable for direct-burial applications without additional protection.

Sustained mechanical behaviour

The conduit maintains flexibility across a 0 to 140 degree Fahrenheit operating range, resisting stiffening in cold and softening in heat. A 7-1/2 inch bend radius allows gradual routing without kinking, while the rigid construction resists collapse during long pulls. UL 1660 flammability rating confirms consistent performance under continuous thermal stress.

Thermal and environmental profile

PVC jacket material withstands the full rated temperature span without degradation, keeping the 1.59 inch inside diameter and 1.88 inch outside diameter stable. The liquid-tight seal prevents moisture ingress in wet locations, and the non-metallic body eliminates corrosion risk. Power draw is not applicable for passive raceway products.

Questions about this item

Will the 140 °F maximum operating temperature hold up if the conduit runs all day in a hot attic?

The PVC jacket is rated for continuous use up to 140 °F, so sustained attic heat at or below that level will not degrade the material.

What fittings do I already need to terminate the 1.88 in outside diameter on both ends?

You need liquid-tight connectors sized for 1-1/2 in trade size conduit to match the 1.88 in outside diameter and maintain the UL listing.

Can I pull new conductors through this G1150 conduit alongside the existing rigid metal raceway I am keeping?

Yes, the flexible PVC jacket resists abrasion and is approved for direct burial, so it can be routed parallel to rigid metal without damaging the older raceway.
