Ground-fault protection for standard circuits

The Hubbell GFR15W is a 15 A GFCI duplex receptacle rated for 125 V AC. It provides ground-fault circuit interruption for residential and light-commercial wiring where NEC requires personnel protection. The device fits a single-gang flush box and uses a straight blade 5-15R configuration.

Fits a single-gang box with three-wire supply

The receptacle mounts flush in a standard one-gang enclosure and accepts a three-wire connection: line, neutral and ground. Its nylon housing carries a NEMA 1 enclosure rating and a white finish. No cover plate is included, so a separate wall plate must be supplied by the installer. The unit frees the circuit from the need for a separate GFCI breaker at the panel.

Replaces a standard non-GFCI duplex outlet

This device upgrades a conventional 15 A duplex receptacle by adding Class A ground-fault protection without changing the box or wiring layout. The jump is worth it when local code mandates GFCI protection in kitchens, bathrooms, garages, basements or outdoor locations. It does not add AFCI function or increase the circuit ampacity beyond 15 A.
