Protective Cap for 400 A Series 16

This black thermoplastic elastomer cap shields female wiring devices rated at 400 amps. It carries NEMA enclosure ratings 12, 3R and 4X for protection against dust, rain and hose-directed water. The cap is built to withstand cold, hot and oily or greasy environments.

Fits Female Devices in Harsh Conditions

The cap snaps onto compatible Series 16 female connectors to seal out moisture and contaminants when the receptacle is not in use. Its compact 2.57 in length and 1.48 in width allow it to sit flush without protruding into tight panels. No tools are required for installation or removal.

Maintains Seal Under Sustained Exposure

The elastomer material resists degradation from prolonged temperature swings and contact with oils or grease. NEMA 4X rating confirms the seal holds during extended wash-down or outdoor exposure. The cap continues to protect the contact interface as long as it remains seated.
