Cat 6 patch cord for voice and data

This 20 ft blue patch cord uses 24 AWG round cable with clear boots on both RJ45 ends. It meets ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-C.2 and ISO 11801/60603-7-41 standards for Category 6 performance. The PVC jacket carries a CM fire rating and the assembly is EU RoHS compliant.

Suited for standard copper network drops

Installers running horizontal links in commercial spaces will find the unshielded design fits typical patch panels and wall outlets. Buyers who need shielded cable for noisy industrial environments or outdoor burial ratings should look at a different construction.

Handles 10 GBps over the rated distance

The cord supports 10 GBps transmission across its full 20 ft length with a 0.2 in diameter that routes easily through managers. Runs that exceed the channel limit or require higher category headroom will need a higher specified cable.

Questions about this item

What devices need RJ45 ports to use this Cat 6 patch cord?

Any network equipment with RJ45 jacks — switches, routers, patch panels or NICs — will accept the RJ45 plugs on both ends of this 20 ft cable.

Will this unshielded Cat 6 cord work properly next to older Cat 5e cables in the same bundle?

Yes, the unshielded design meets ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-C.2 and ISO 11801/60603-7-41, so it can run alongside Cat 5e without performance loss.

How can I verify the cord is delivering 10 GBps after installation?

Run a cable certifier or network tester that reports Category 6 compliance and 10 GBps throughput per the ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-C.2 standard.
