Cat 6 Patch Cord for Voice and Data

This 15 ft unshielded patch cord uses 24 AWG conductors and clear boots on both RJ45 ends. The PVC jacket meets CM fire rating and complies with ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-C.2, ISO 11801/60603-7-41 and EU RoHS. It is rated for 10 GBps transmission speed in commercial installations.

Suited for standard Gigabit

Installers needing shielded cable, plenum-rated jackets, or longer permanent-link distances should select a different construction. The unshielded design does not protect against heavy EMI environments.

Handles 10 GBps over the full 15 ft channel

Performance margin decreases if the cord is used beyond its specified length or in high-temperature bundles. The .2 in diameter allows routing through standard pathways without exceeding fill limits.

Questions about this item

What devices need RJ45 ports to use this 15 ft Cat 6 patch cord?

Any network device with a standard RJ45 jack — routers, switches, PCs, IP cameras or VoIP phones — will accept the clear-boot connectors on both ends.

Will this unshielded 24 AWG cable work reliably next to older Cat 5e runs in the same tray?

Yes, the ANSI/TIA-568-C.2 and ISO 11801/60603-7-41 ratings guarantee backward-compatible performance alongside legacy Category 5e cabling.

How can I confirm the link is running at the rated 10 GBps after installation?

Check the switch or NIC status LEDs for a 10 Gb indicator and run a cable certifier or throughput test that reports 10 Gbps negotiated speed.
