Category 6 patch cord for voice and data

Installers who need high-impact RJ45 boots

The high-impact boots on both ends protect the latch during frequent moves, making the cord suited to patch panels and wall outlets that see regular reconfiguration. Buyers who need a plenum-rated jacket or a different fire rating should look at another product.

Unshielded construction with 0.2 in diameter

The unshielded design keeps the cable flexible and its 0.2 in diameter fits standard pathways. The PVC insulation and jacket are EU RoHS compliant. Shielded environments or installations that require a different cable diameter will need an alternative cord.

Questions about this item

What cable diameter and connector size does this patch cord need to fit through?

The cord has a 0.2 in diameter and uses standard RJ45 connectors on both ends, so it fits typical keystone jacks and wall plates.

How do you install the high-impact boots correctly, and what step is often missed?

Align the boot latch with the port tab, press until it clicks, and verify the latch locks — skipping the click check leaves the connection loose.

When should the cord be replaced based on its construction and ratings?

Replace if the PVC jacket shows cracking, the 24 AWG conductors are kinked, or the high-impact boots no longer latch securely.
