Compression Coupling for IMC and RMC Conduit

The Hubbell RACO 1826 is a straight-threaded steel coupling designed to join unthreaded IMC or RMC conduit in electrical installations. It provides a concrete-tight connection suitable for commercial and industrial wiring projects where rigid metal conduit is specified.

Compatibility Check Before Ordering

Verify that your existing conduit is IMC or RMC with a 1 1/2 inch trade size and that the conduit ends are unthreaded. The coupling uses a UNS thread type and requires a compression connection method, so ensure your tools and conduit preparation match this fitting style.

Zinc-Plated Steel Construction and Certifications

The zinc-plated finish resists corrosion in damp or outdoor locations while the steel body maintains mechanical strength. The coupling carries CSA Certified and UL Listed markings, confirming compliance with North American safety standards for conduit fittings. Weighing 0.96 lb, it adds minimal load to the conduit run.
