Liquid Tight Cord Connector

This liquid tight cord connector accepts a single cable with an outside diameter between 1.00 and 1.13 inches. It mounts into a 1 inch MNPT threaded opening and uses an aluminium body with a silver finish. The straight style measures 1 11/16 inches from the box face to the end of the connector. No external strain relief is fitted and the body is not insulated.

Upgrade from open knockouts

The connector replaces an open knockout or a basic bushing when a sealed, code-compliant entry is required for one cable in the 1.00 to 1.13 inch range. The step up is worth it where moisture, oil or dust would otherwise enter the enclosure. It does not suit cables thinner than 1.00 inches or thicker than 1.13 inches, nor does it provide a strain relief function beyond the gland seal.

1 inch MNPT mounting constraint

The 1 inch MNPT thread fixes the connector to enclosures cut for that trade size; a different thread or a larger cable demands a different fitting. The aluminium construction resists corrosion in typical industrial atmospheres but is not rated for direct burial or continuous immersion. The lack of external strain relief means the cable must be supported independently where vibration or tension is present.
