RACO 2802 EMT Grounding Connector 1/2 in

The RACO 2802 is a straight, threaded compression connector made from zinc alloy with a plain gray finish. It is UL Listed and CSA certified for use with 1/2 in EMT conduit in concrete-tight applications. The fitting accepts NPS 1/2-14 threads and measures 1 11/32 in overall length with 7/8 in height and width.

Electrical installers running EMT conduit

This connector suits electricians and contractors who need a code-compliant, insulated-free termination for half-inch EMT in straight runs. It is not intended for installers who require an insulated throat, a set-screw coupling, or a fitting rated for liquid-tight or flexible metal conduit systems.

Thread size 1/2-14 NPS and concrete-tight rating

The decisive specification is the 1/2-14 NPS thread combined with the concrete-tight UL listing. If the project demands a different thread standard, a non-concrete-tight rating, or an insulated bushing, this connector will not meet the specification.

Questions about this item

Does the RACO 2802 connector generate any heat or noise when installed in a conduit run?

No, the RACO 2802 is a passive zinc-alloy compression fitting with no electrical components, so it produces zero heat and no audible noise during operation.

What conduit and tools must I already have to install this 1/2 in EMT grounding connector?

You need 1/2 in EMT conduit, a compatible compression tool for the 1/2 in trade size, and standard hand tools to secure the threaded NPS 1/2-14 connection.

Will this 2802 connector fit older EMT conduit that has been in place for years?

Yes, it matches the standard 1/2 in EMT trade size and NPS 1/2-14 thread, so it threads onto legacy conduit of the same specification without modification.
