Liquid-tight conduit fitting

The RACO 3424 is a steel conduit fitting with electro-zinc finish designed for 1 inch trade-size flexible liquid-tight metallic and non-metallic Type B conduit. It provides a 90-degree connection orientation with a 1 inch MNPT box connection for secure installation in electrical systems.

90-degree connection orientation

The defining specification is the 90-degree connection orientation which determines routing flexibility in tight spaces and around corners. This angle fixes the conduit path relative to the enclosure entry point and cannot be adjusted after installation.

Capacity and headroom

The fitting accommodates 1 inch trade-size flexible liquid-tight conduit in both metallic and non-metallic Type B variants for standard electrical routing needs. It lacks strain-relief mesh so cable pull forces transfer directly to the conduit connection point.

Questions about this item

What does the 90-degree orientation mean when I install this fitting?

The 90-degree orientation lets the conduit enter the box at a right angle, saving space in tight enclosures.

How does the 1-inch MNPT box connection limit what boxes I can use?

The 1-inch MNPT thread only fits boxes or enclosures with a matching 1-inch female NPT opening.

What clearance does the 1-inch trade size need to mount properly?

The 1-inch trade size requires a 1-inch knockout or threaded hub and enough room for the 90-degree bend radius.
