Reducing Bushing for IMC Conduit

The Killark R-63 reducing bushing connects 1 in and 2 in threaded IMC conduit in hazardous locations. It provides a female-to-male thread transition rated for Class I, Division 1 and 2 areas. The aluminum body suits industrial electrical installations requiring a secure, code-compliant fitting.

Fits Threaded RMC and IMC Systems

This bushing threads directly into existing 2 in male NPT entries and accepts 1 in female NPT conduit. The plain aluminum finish resists corrosion without added coatings. It reduces conduit trade size while maintaining the hazardous-location rating across the joint.

Plain Aluminum Finish in Hazardous Areas

The fitting weighs .3 lb and measures 7/8 in overall length by 1 in height by 2 3/8 in width. Aluminum construction dissipates heat without external cooling. No moving parts or power draw mean silent, maintenance-free operation in classified zones.

Questions about this item

Does the 0.3 lb aluminum body limit how many bushings I can stack in a long IMC run?

Each bushing weighs 0.3 lb, so total weight adds up quickly on extended vertical conduit runs.

Will the plain-finish aluminum heat up or make noise when carrying heavy loads all day?

The fitting is passive metal with no moving parts, so it generates no noise and its temperature follows the conductors inside.

What conduit and thread types must already be on site for this 1 in x 2 in reducer to install?

You need IMC or threaded RMC conduit in 1 in and 2 in trade sizes with matching FNPT and MNPT ends.
