Single-gang switch box with 12.5 cu in capacity

The RACO 518 is a one-gang galvanized steel electrical box designed for switch installations. Its 12.5 cubic inch capacity provides space for conductors and devices in residential or commercial wiring projects. The gray finish identifies it as a standard utility component.

Verify knockout layout

This box includes one 1/2 inch back knockout and AC, FMC, KO and MC clamps for cable entry. Side knockouts are not present, so conduit or cable must enter from the rear. Confirm that your wiring plan matches this rear-entry configuration and that the clamps suit your cable type.

Galvanized steel construction

The steel body is galvanized for corrosion resistance in damp or outdoor locations. A 2 1/2 inch nominal depth fits standard stud cavities while the integrated clamps secure cables without separate connectors. UL listing confirms the box meets safety standards for permanent installation.
