Raco 3704 Steel Wire Cap Connector

This Raco 3704 steel wire cap connector accepts a single cord with a diameter between .60 in and .70 in. It provides a straight 1 in MNPT box connection for secure termination. The silver steel body is cULus listed and carries an imprinted gland colour code for identification. It is suited for installers needing a durable, insulated-free strain relief fitting.

Verify cord diameter and box thread before ordering

Confirm the cable outer diameter falls within the .60 in to .70 in range specified for the 3704 model. Ensure the enclosure provides a matching 1 in MNPT threaded entry for the connector body. The fitting has no external strain relief and is not insulated, so check that the installation environment does not require those features.

Steel body sustains mechanical load without

The all-steel construction resists crushing and thread damage when the connector is tightened to the enclosure. With no external strain relief, the cord grip relies on the internal gland compression to hold the cable firmly during prolonged vibration or pull. The cULus listing confirms the assembly maintains integrity under continuous rated conditions.
