RACO T125 Aluminium Conduit Body

This RACO T125 conduit outlet body is a T-shaped aluminium fitting for pulling and splicing conductors in IMC or RMC raceways. It has a 1 1/4 inch trade size, three threaded hubs and a 30.8 cubic inch interior capacity. The powder-coated silver finish resists corrosion in dry or damp locations. Two pieces are supplied per pack for convenient installation.

Suits IMC and RMC runs; not for flexible conduit

Electricians routing rigid or intermediate metal conduit will find the threaded hubs match 1 1/4 inch trade size exactly. The flat back mounts flush against surfaces and the T shape allows straight-through or branch pulls. Installers using EMT, PVC or flexible metal conduit need a different body style because the hub threads and sealing method are not compatible.

30.8 cubic inch body capacity decides wire fill

The 30.8 cu in volume is the single figure that determines how many conductors of a given gauge may be installed under code fill limits. Exceeding this capacity requires a larger conduit body or a junction box. Always verify the conductor count and size against the 30.8 cu in rating before closing the cover.

Questions about this item

Does the RACO T125 conduit body include the threaded hubs or must they be purchased separately?

The T-style body has three threaded 1 1/4 in hubs built in; no separate hubs are required.

The listing shows a two-piece pack — should I choose that or a single unit for a T-shaped junction?

Each pack contains two complete T bodies, so one pack gives you two separate three-hub junctions.

What does the 30.8 cu in capacity mean when pulling 1 1/4 in IMC or RMC conductors?

It provides 30.8 cubic inches of internal wiring space, the maximum fill allowed for that trade size.
