What this cable connector does

The Hubbell SEC100BA is a liquid-tight straight cord connector sized for a 1-inch NPT box opening. Its black nylon body accepts a single cord with a diameter between .59 and 1.00 inches and provides insulated strain relief without an external gland.

Check your enclosure and cord before ordering

Verify that the enclosure has a 1-inch MNPT threaded entry and that the cable you plan to run falls within the .59-to-1.00-inch range. The connector meets UL 514B and CSA C 22.2 No. 18 standards, so confirm those listings satisfy your local code requirements.

When this fitting replaces an older gland

It upgrades from non-insulated or non-liquid-tight bushings where moisture ingress or pull-out protection is needed. The jump is worth it when a straight, single-cord entry must stay sealed and meet the listed safety standards.

Questions about this item

Does the SEC100BA connector include a locknut or sealing gasket, or must those be purchased separately?

The connector body is supplied as a single nylon piece with 1 in MNPT threads; locknuts and gaskets are not included and must be sourced separately.

When should I choose the SEC100BA over a smaller or larger Hubbell cord connector?

Select the SEC100BA when your cable outer diameter falls between .59 in and 1.00 in and you need a 1 in NPT enclosure entry.

What does the 1 in NPT rating mean when the SEC100BA is installed in a junction box?

It mates with a standard 1 in NPT threaded hub, accepts one cable from .59 in to 1.00 in, and meets UL 514B and CSA C22.2 No. 18 for liquid-tight sealing.
