Liquid-Tight Connector for 1/2-Inch Knockouts

This yellow zinc-plated steel fitting accepts a single cord between 0.63 in and 0.75 in diameter and threads into a 1/2 in MNPT box opening. It provides a straight, insulated-free seal for indoor or outdoor electrical installations where moisture resistance is required.

Sustained Environmental Sealing

The gland colour code yellow identifies the cord range while the 1 1/2 in body length maintains a consistent compression fit over time. CSA LR27378 and UL E54218 listings confirm the connector meets recognised safety standards for continuous exposure to wet or damp locations without degradation of the sealing performance.

Verify Knockout and Cord Dimensions Before Ordering

Ensure the enclosure provides a 1/2 in MNPT threaded opening and that the cable outer diameter falls within the 0.63 in to 0.75 in range. The connector weighs 0.29 lb and measures 4.200 in overall length, so confirm adequate internal clearance for the straight body style.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the SHC1027ZP generate during continuous use?

The connector is a passive zinc-plated steel fitting with no moving parts, so it produces no heat or audible noise under normal operation.

What cable diameter and thread size must I already have for the SHC1027ZP to fit?

It accepts cords from 0.63 in to 0.75 in diameter and mounts to a 1/2 in MNPT threaded opening.

Will the SHC1027ZP work with older conduit or cable glands I already own?

Yes, provided the existing conduit has a 1/2 in MNPT thread and the cable falls within the 0.63 in to 0.75 in range, the straight liquid-tight connector will seal correctly.
