A 20 A, 120 V AC hazardous-location receptacle with three wires, two poles and copper-free aluminium construction
The Hubbell Killark UGR1-20231QW is a straight-blade receptacle rated for Class I, Division 1 and 2 hazardous areas. It accepts a 5-20R plug at 120 V AC and 60 Hz, making it suitable for industrial plants where flammable gases or dust may be present. The copper-free aluminium body and powder-coated finish resist corrosion in harsh environments.
This unit provides a 2-pole, 3-wire grounding arrangement rated at 20 A. The dead-end 1/2-inch hub allows conduit entry from one side only, so installers must plan the raceway accordingly. Stainless-steel mounting screws secure the device in a standard 1-gang box.
The receptacle carries up to 20 A on 120 V circuits without derating in the listed hazardous locations. It is not intended for higher-voltage distribution or for non-hazardous general-purpose wiring where a standard commercial device would suffice. Builders needing multi-gang assemblies or feed-through hubs should select a different series.
