Safe Scissors for Young Learners

The Huhuhero F663085 set provides four 5-inch scissors with blunt stainless steel blades and rounded plastic tips. Soft cushioned handles give a non-slip grip on the finger loops for comfortable control. The pack includes blue, green, yellow and pink units so each child can identify their own pair. Designed for ages four and up, they suit classroom, home or craft-table use.

Cutting Limits of Blunt-Tip Design

The flat-ground blades cleanly slice paper, card stock, poster board, tape and photos but will not handle thick cardboard, fabric or dense materials. The protective tip cover prevents puncture injuries yet also restricts fine detail work that requires a sharp point. Each scissor measures 1.397 x 17.7038 x 25.908 centimetres and weighs 0.181 kilograms, making them light enough for small hands to manoeuvre.

Ready to Use With Minimal Setup

No assembly is required; simply remove the tip covers and the scissors are ready for cutting. The ambidextrous handle loops accommodate left- and right-handed children without adjustment. Common issues include the plastic tip cover loosening after repeated drops and the cushioned grip compressing over time, which can reduce non-slip performance. Stainless steel blades resist corrosion but should be wiped dry after use to maintain smooth action.

Questions about this item

Should I buy the four-pack or look for single scissors?

The four-pack gives one pair each in blue, green, yellow and pink, so every child can pick a colour and spares are ready for classroom or home use.

What does the 5-inch length mean when a child actually uses them?

At five inches overall the scissors fit small hands, the blunt stainless-steel blades cut paper and light card cleanly, and the soft-grip loops stay comfortable during longer craft sessions.

Are these standard blunt-tip scissors or do they need a special sharpening method?

They are ordinary blunt-tip safety scissors with flat-ground stainless-steel blades; no special sharpening is required and the rounded tips stay safe for ages four and up.
