Compact 8×5 Inch Drawing Area

The Huion H950P is a slim graphics tablet with an 8 by 5 inch active surface. It connects over USB and works with Windows, macOS, Linux and Android 6.0 or later. The package includes a battery-free PW100 stylus that offers 8192 pressure levels and tilt support. It targets students, hobbyists and professionals who need a portable pen input device for drawing, note-taking or OSU gameplay.

Driver Setup and Left-Handed Rotation

Installation requires downloading the Huion driver to enable the eight programmable press keys and to configure per-application shortcuts. The tablet also supports left-handed mode with screen rotation adjustable between 90 and 270 degrees. Common issues include forgetting to install the driver before first use, which leaves the shortcut keys inactive, and not granting the necessary accessibility permissions on macOS or Android.

8192 Pressure Levels and Portable Limits

The 8192-level pressure sensitivity provides fine control for line weight and opacity in supported creative software. The compact 12.5 by 7.3 inch footprint and 0.3 inch thickness make it easy to carry in a laptop bag. The small active area can feel restrictive for broad shoulder strokes or multi-monitor setups, and the tablet lacks a built-in display, so users must watch a separate screen while drawing.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 8192 pressure levels are registering correctly after installing the Huion driver?

Open the driver panel and use the pressure test window; strokes should transition smoothly from faint to full opacity without jumps, confirming all 8192 levels are active.

What comes in the box with the H950P and what must I supply myself?

The package includes the 8 x 5 inch tablet, battery-free PW100 stylus with side buttons, USB cable and nib removal tool; you provide the computer or Android 6.0+ device and download the driver from Huion's site.

Which H950P version should I choose for a compact desk and left-handed use?

Only one version exists — the 12.5 x 7.3 x 0.3 inch, 1.76 lb black model with 8 programmable keys and 90°–270° rotation support for left-handed workflows.
