Built for high-volume shipping

The Humanscale TK-PS4C is a handheld digital postal scale rated for 440 lb maximum capacity with 0.04 lb readability. It suits mailrooms, warehouses and small businesses that weigh heavy parcels daily and need three weighing modes in kg, lb:oz and lb. The rubber-topped platform handles items from light envelopes up to bulky boxes.

Thermals, noise and power

The scale runs on included batteries or the supplied USB DC adapter, drawing minimal power with no fan or moving parts. Operation is silent and the backlit LCD stays on without auto-shutoff so readings remain visible during continuous use. No heat is generated during normal weighing tasks.

Fits a mobile workstation

At 13.78 x 13.03 x 2.5 inches the platform sits on any bench or counter and the detachable display cable lets you position the screen away from large packages. Two rear pin slots allow wall mounting if bench space is limited. The lightweight rubber-and-plastic construction makes it easy to relocate between packing stations.

Questions about this item

How do I install the THINKSCALE TK-PS4C and what step is often missed?

Place the scale on a flat, stable surface, insert the included batteries or connect the USB DC adapter, then press the power button. The step often missed is allowing the scale to settle at zero before weighing; if the display shows a value with nothing on the platform, press the tare button to reset it.

What maintenance or replacement will the TK-PS4C need later?

The scale requires no routine mechanical maintenance. You will need to replace the batteries when the low-battery indicator appears on the LCD. Keep the rubber platform clean and dry; avoid submerging the unit or using harsh chemicals.

What limit shows up first during sustained heavy use of this 440 lb postal scale?

The 440 lb / 200 kg maximum capacity is the hard limit; exceeding it can damage the load cell. For continuous operation, the practical limit is the power source — battery life will dictate how long the scale runs before needing fresh cells or a USB connection.
