Extension Pole Sprayer 5 1/2 to 8 1/2 ft

The Hyde Tools 28680 is an aluminum extension pole that adjusts from 5 1/2 to 8 1/2 feet. It connects to airless spray guns so painters and contractors can reach ceilings, walls and exterior surfaces without a ladder. The transparent finish makes the pole easy to spot on a busy job site.

Tool-free twist lock installation

The pole uses a twist-lock mechanism that tightens by hand, so no wrenches or extra hardware are required. Overtightening can strip the threads and cause the sections to slip under pressure. Dried paint in the joints is the most common reason the lock fails to hold, so rinse the threads immediately after each use.

Reach capacity and practical limits

At full extension the pole provides up to 8 1/2 feet of extra reach for spraying high walls or soffits from the ground. The aluminum tube adds weight the further it extends, which increases operator fatigue on long jobs. It is not designed to support heavy texture guns or to be used as a structural brace.

Not for buyers who need longer reach

Painters working on two-storey exteriors will find the maximum length insufficient without scaffolding. Contractors who run thick elastomeric coatings through large-bore guns may experience excess flex that affects spray pattern control.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the Hyde 28680 extension pole is working correctly after attaching it to my airless spray gun?

Extend the pole to the desired length between 5 1/2 and 8 1/2 ft, lock it securely, connect to the spray gun, and test for a steady, even spray pattern without leaks at the joints.

What comes in the box with the Hyde 28680 and what must I purchase separately?

The box contains the aluminum extension pole only; you must supply a compatible airless spray gun and any required tip or hose fittings.

Which version of the Hyde 28680 should I choose for my project?

The Hyde 28680 is a single adjustable model spanning 5 1/2 to 8 1/2 ft, so select it when you need that reach range with an aluminum pole for airless spray guns.
