High-Performance Gaming Desktop

The Hyper Cyber Ultra X is a Windows 11 Home desktop built around an Intel Core i7-14700K processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card. It targets gamers and esports professionals who need high frame rates and fast load times in modern titles. The system ships fully assembled and ready to use without a monitor.

Bundled Components and Software Impact

The motherboard is an MSI PRO Z790-A MAX WIFI ATX board with an LGA 1700 socket. Memory consists of 32GB DDR5-6400 configured as two 16 GB modules, expandable to 192 GB. Storage is a 2TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 NVME solid state drive. The 850W 80+ Gold power supply feeds the CPU and GPU. Windows 11 Home provides the operating environment.

Practical Limits of PCIe 4.0 Storage Interface

The SSD uses a PCIe 4.0 x4 link, so its maximum sequential throughput is bounded by that generation's bandwidth ceiling. Real-world speeds will also depend on the drive's own controller and NAND design, which are not detailed here. The x16 graphics slot runs at the same generation, so the RTX 5090 cannot utilise PCIe 5.0 signalling. Buyers who need PCIe 5.0 storage or GPU bandwidth should note this platform stops at 4.0.

Questions about this item

Will the 32 GB DDR5-6400 memory need upgrading and how far can it go?

The board supports up to 192 GB of DDR5-6400, so the two 16 GB modules can be expanded later if workloads demand more capacity.

What component hits its limit first during long gaming sessions?

The 1000 W power supply and 850 W 80+ Gold unit leave headroom for the i7-14700K and RTX 5090, so thermal throttling on the CPU or GPU will appear before power delivery becomes an issue.

How loud and hot does the system get when running all day?

The 850 W 80+ Gold PSU runs efficiently, reducing waste heat, while the MSI PRO Z790-A MAX WIFI motherboard and chassis fans manage airflow to keep noise and temperatures controlled under sustained load.
