Console Overview

The Hyperkin RetroN 3 HD plays original NES, Super Famicom and Genesis cartridges in 720p resolution. It supports both NTSC and PAL formats across all three platforms. Two premium classic-style controllers, the Scout and the Squire, are included in the box. The system is designed for collectors who want authentic hardware on modern displays.

Output Constraints

The 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratio switch functions only when the 3 ft HD cable is connected. AV output is available through the supplied composite cable but does not support the ratio toggle. Controller ports accept compatible pads for each respective console platform. No wireless or network features are present on this unit.

Build and Connectivity

Hyperkin-engineered Perfect Pin technology aims to improve cartridge contact reliability over time. The Space Black chassis houses dedicated slots for each cartridge format. A 6 ft micro charge cable and AC adapter power the system. The included cables cover both HD and legacy AV connections for immediate setup.
