Wired headset with 53mm drivers

The HyperX Cloud III is a wired gaming headset built around angled 53mm drivers and a detachable 10mm microphone. It connects through a 3.5mm jack, a USB-C adapter or a USB-A to 3.5mm cable. DTS Headphones:X spatial audio is included with lifetime activation. An aluminium frame and memory-foam cushions covered in artificial leather complete the package.

Check 3.5mm and USB ports before buying

Your device must provide a 3.5mm headphone jack or a free USB-A or USB-C port for the included adapters. The headset draws power and audio through the wired connection, so no separate battery or charging is required. Verify that your platform supports DTS Headphones:X software if you plan to use the spatial-audio feature. The detachable microphone uses the same 3.5mm connection as the headphones.

Upgrades from basic stereo headsets

This model replaces entry-level stereo headsets that lack angled drivers, a detachable noise-cancelling microphone or DTS spatial audio. The aluminium frame adds durability for travel and daily handling. The jump is worth it when you need clearer positional audio in games and a broadcast-quality mic that can be removed for music or media use. It is not for buyers who want wireless freedom or a headset without a removable microphone.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box with the HyperX Cloud III headset and is anything needed separately?

The box includes the headphones, earphones, a detachable microphone, a USB-C adapter and a USB to 3.5 mm cable. No extra purchase is required for wired use on PC, PS5 or Xbox Series X

Should I choose the 3.5 mm jack or the USB-C adapter for the best experience?

Both connections work. The 3.5 mm jack plugs straight into a controller or console port. The USB-C adapter lets you connect to a USB-C device and enables DTS Headphones:X spatial audio with lifetime activation.

How do the 53 mm drivers and 10 mm microphone perform in real use?

The tilted 53 mm drivers are tuned by HyperX engineers to highlight dynamic game sounds. The 10 mm detachable mic has a built-in mesh filter for noise cancellation and an LED mute indicator so you know when it is live.
