The i-ON USB-C to Lightning cable is MFi certified and 1.8 metres long in black. It connects iPhone models from the 8 through the 13 series, plus iPad Pro 12.9 inch 2017, iPad Pro 10.5 inch 2017, iPad Air 3, iPad mini 5 and AirPods Pro to any USB-C power adapter or computer port.

Who it suits and who it does not

Buyers with iPhone 8 or newer who want 18W PD fast charging will reach 50 percent charge in about 30 minutes when paired with a compatible USB-C PD adapter. Owners of iPhone 7, 7 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus, 6 Plus or 6 only get standard charging speeds, so this cable does not meet the need for fast charging on those devices.

Installation and common issues

Plug the USB-C end into a PD charger or MacBook and the Lightning end into the device; no drivers are required. The most frequent problem is using a non-PD USB-C adapter, which prevents fast charging from activating.
