PDF compression utility

IRISCompressor Pro is a Windows utility that converts scanned documents, photos and existing PDFs into smaller searchable PDF files. It targets office workers and archivists who need to shrink image-heavy archives without losing visual fidelity. The software runs on legacy Windows versions from XP through Windows 7 with modest hardware requirements.

Batch conversion and OCR

The programme batches multiple images or PDFs into a single document and lets you reorder pages before saving. Built-in optical character recognition supports over 130 languages, turning picture-based pages into selectable, searchable text. Compression can shrink files up to 20 times smaller while keeping them readable in any standard PDF viewer.

Download delivery and system footprint

Delivered as a 115 MB download, the tool installs on Pentium-class PCs with 128 MB RAM and requires no optical media or licence dongle. Output PDFs remain fully compliant with common viewers, so recipients do not need specialised software. The lightweight installer suits older workstations that cannot run modern suites.

Questions about this item

What future updates or licence renewals will IRISCompressor Pro 457596-ESD require?

The product is delivered as a perpetual download licence for Windows 7, Vista or XP; no subscription renewals are mentioned, so the software runs indefinitely on the licensed machine.

Which system resource will bottleneck large batch conversions first?

The 128 MB RAM minimum and 115 MB disk space requirement mean memory and temporary storage fill up before CPU becomes the limiting factor on big jobs.

How much power and heat does the software add when running all day?

As a download utility it has no independent power draw; sustained use only consumes the host PC’s normal CPU cycles and generates no extra heat beyond typical processor load.
