8GB DDR3 server memory module with ECC, registered signal processing and 1600 MHz speed
This Lenovo 00D5044 module adds 8GB of DDR3 memory to compatible servers. It operates at 1600 MHz with a CAS latency of CL11 and uses 1.35 V. The stick is built with ECC and registered signal processing for data integrity in server workloads.
The module uses a standard 240-pin DIMM form factor measuring 5.3" in length and 1.2" in width. Align the key notch with the slot and press firmly until the retention clips lock. A common error is seating the module unevenly, which prevents the system from recognising the memory.
This memory runs at the DDR3-1600 standard, also labelled PC3-12800. Bandwidth and latency are fixed by that specification, so performance cannot exceed the rated 1600 MHz speed or CL11 timing. Systems requiring higher frequencies or lower voltages will not benefit from this module.

Enter the server BIOS or use a system-information utility such as CPU-Z; the memory tab should report 1600 MHz speed and CAS latency 11 for the installed DIMM.
The package contains one 8 GB DDR3 240-pin registered ECC DIMM operating at 1.35 V; no additional components are needed for installation.
This specific part number is an 8 GB registered ECC module rated at 1600 MHz and CL11; choose it when those exact specifications match the server's memory requirements.
