IBM 06P3709 Netfinity PCI Gigabit Ethernet SX Server Adapter

SKU CH-HP3C-YFRM8

Gigabit Ethernet SX adapter with PCI interface for Netfinity servers

  • Gigabit Ethernet connectivity via PCI interface
  • SX fibre optic link for extended reach
  • IBM Netfinity compatibility for server integration
  • Lightweight 5.1 unit for easy installation

IBM Netfinity PCI Gigabit Ethernet SX Adapter

This IBM Netfinity adapter provides a Gigabit Ethernet SX connection over a standard PCI slot. It is built for administrators who need a fibre uplink on legacy server hardware that still uses the PCI bus. The unit is supplied new and ready for installation in compatible IBM Netfinity or similar rack and tower systems.

Fibre uplink for PCI-based servers

This card suits maintainers of older IBM servers that require a Gigabit SX link over multimode fibre. Builders working with PCIe-only platforms or copper-only infrastructures should look elsewhere, as the interface and media type will not match those environments.
