Delivers 1400 W of redundant server power and operates above 5000 metres altitude
The IBM 44X4150 delivers 1.40 kW of output power in a hot-swap redundant form factor. It is built for enterprise servers that must operate above 5000 metres where standard units cannot maintain regulation.
Swap this unit in when existing power modules cannot sustain rated output at extreme elevation. The upgrade is worth it only for installations that actually run at those altitudes; sea-level deployments gain no advantage.
The supply fits only IBM and Lenovo systems validated for >5000 metre operation. It will not power standard rackmount servers lacking the matching high-altitude certification and redundant backplane.

The 44X4150 is designed for compatible Lenovo and IBM server chassis that support hot-swap redundant power modules; verify your server model against the manufacturer’s compatibility list before purchase.
Slide the unit into the power bay until the latch clicks, then secure the retention lever; the step often missed is fully engaging the lever so the supply locks into the redundant backplane.
With a 1.40 kW rating and 1-year limited warranty, plan to inspect fans and connectors annually; replace the unit if it fails self-test, shows warning LEDs, or reaches end-of-life per your server’s firmware logs.
