10 Gigabit Ethernet Adapter for IBM BladeCenter

The IBM 49Y7942 Emulex adapter provides a 10 Gigabit Ethernet connection for compatible blade servers. It fits into a BladeCenter switch module bay to deliver high-speed network access. This refurbished unit is suited for administrators upgrading or replacing a module in an existing chassis.

BladeCenter switch module installation

The module occupies a single switch bay and connects to the midplane for I/O. It requires a supported BladeCenter chassis and compatible blade servers to operate. The adapter frees up onboard network ports for other traffic or redundancy. Buyers who need a different port count or form factor should verify chassis compatibility before purchase.
