600 GB 15 K 3.5" SATA Drive

This IBM internal hard drive provides 600 GB of storage on a 3.5 inch SATA form factor. It spins at 15 K RPM and is supplied in new condition. The unit carries part numbers 44W2244 44W2245 44W2246. Retail or OEM packing may vary.

Suits High Speed Desktop Arrays

The drive fits desktop chassis that accept 3.5 inch SATA devices and need the fastest rotational speed available in this interface. Buyers who require larger capacity than 600 GB should look at something else. Systems that cannot accommodate a 3.5 inch bay or that need a different interface will not be compatible.

15 K Rotational Speed Decides Fit

The single specification that determines suitability is the 15 K RPM spindle speed. It delivers higher random I/O performance than slower SATA drives. Confirm that the host system supports 3.5 inch SATA drives and that the 600 GB capacity meets the storage requirement.
