This 95 W heatsink assembly is designed for the IBM System X3550 M4 server. It provides the necessary thermal interface for processors rated at this thermal design power. The part number 81Y6696 identifies the correct unit for maintenance or replacement. It is intended for technicians servicing this specific server model.

Refurbished unit with active fan cooling

The assembly includes an integrated fan to move air across the heatsink fins under sustained load. As a refurbished component it has been tested to meet functional requirements for continuous operation. Buyers who need a new, unused heatsink should look for a different condition. The fan-based design handles steady thermal output rather than only brief spikes.
