The IBM FlashSystem 5300 is a 1U rackmount storage server populated with twelve 38.4TB FlashCore Modules. It delivers 460TB raw capacity and 340TB usable capacity, reaching 680TB effective capacity with 2:1 compression. The platform suits organisations that need high-density flash storage for block workloads.

Build integration: 256GB cache and host connectivity

The system includes 256GB of cache and ships with two four-port 32Gb Fibre Channel cards plus onboard 25/10Gb iSCSI. It supports 2.5-inch flash drives, SFF 2.5-inch disk drives, LFF 3.5-inch disk drives and Storage Class Memory modules. Distributed RAID 1, 5 and 6 protect data across the installed drives.
