Questions about this item

What does the 430-470 MHz range mean for everyday use?

It covers the UHF band, so the antenna works with compatible Icom radios for voice and data across that frequency spread.

How does the SMA-type connector affect compatibility?

The antenna fits radios that use the same SMA fitting, including the F2000, F4001, F4011, F4161, F4201DEX, F4210D, F4230DS, F4261D, F4261DT, F4360D and F62D models.

Will the 5-1/2 inch length clear a low-profile mount?

At 5-1/2 inches tall and half an inch wide, the rubber-and-metal whip needs only a small footprint on the radio body.
