Icom M73 PLUS Handheld VHF Marine Radio 6W

Handheld VHF Radio for Marine Use

The Icom M73 PLUS is a handheld VHF marine radio designed for on-water communication. It delivers six watts of output power and fits easily in the hand for use aboard yachts or smaller craft. A 2000mAh lithium-ion battery provides up to 16 hours of operation. The IPX8 waterproof rating ensures survival if dropped overboard.

Suited for Voice Clarity and Hands-Free Docking

This radio suits captains and crew who need clear audio in noisy environments. Active noise cancelling reduces background sound while a bass boost function enriches transmit and receive audio. An optional VOX headset allows hands-free operation when handling dock lines. Buyers requiring integrated GPS, DSC distress calling or AIS reception should look at other models.

Sustained Output with Thermal Protection

The bridge-tied load amplifier drives the internal speaker to 700mW for continuous loud audio during long watches. AquaQuake™ uses low-frequency vibration to eject water from the speaker grille, maintaining output clarity after immersion. The four-level battery indicator lets operators monitor remaining capacity during extended trips. Voice recording captures the last incoming call automatically for one minute.
